Middle School

Middle School (Grades 6-8):  Fellowship, Learning, Outreach, all built on the firm foundation of Worship for youth in grades 6-8 and friends.

Confirmation classes are for students grades 7-9. It is a three year program that focuses on Martin Luther and the Catechism, the life of Jesus, and how to be a Christian in practice outside the church.

Confirmation Youth Group (CYG-grades 7-9) meets at the North Site on Sunday mornings from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. every Sunday during the Confirmation year. The program runs weekly and follows the same schedule as Sunday School. CYG Sessions will begin at 9:15 a.m. in the Activity Center for open gym time. At 9:45 a.m. we will move downstairs to the Youth Room (Room 8) for fellowship time with Discipleship Coordinator, Hannah Sprenger. Students have discussions, do small service projects like making PB&J’s for the homeless, or other fun activities. It’s the perfect time for students to get to know each other, explore their faith, and learn more about themselves in a setting aside from their normal Confirmation classrooms. If interested, please contact Hannah Sprenger at hsprenger@felc.com.

During the summer middle school students meet with our summer staff of college interns at reFUEL and for other special activities.   Information can be found on the youth page of the FELC newsletter

Other activities take place throughout the year.  Information can be found on the youth page of the FELC newsletter.
