Endowment brochure review: LeAnne submitted the final proof of the endowment
brochure that she designed and Jan will forward to Trust Fund Committee for
final review. Thanks, LeAnne!

Weekly announcements format: The
team discussed the possibility of designing announcements in a 11x17 brochure-style
format so they would look more attractive and inviting. Jan brought an example
of Calvary’s 11x17 pamphlet with a 6-column format (the back panel seems like a
great place for our “At a Glance” items.) We may consider the redesign if it’s
determined that offering the announcements in the Gathering Areas is an
effective alternative to having them inserted into each bulletin.
- Volunteer of the Month concept: A suggestion from a recent
Communications Team meeting was that we consider acknowledging First
English volunteers monthly in our newsletter. A form has been developed to
make it easy for members to “nominate” other members by completing a form
that would be available in the Gathering Areas and as an online form. Each
month a member would be “spotlighted” with a brief profile. The team
favored the idea. The form was reviewed/tweaked. It was suggested to
feature the volunteer on the Web site, too.
- Web site: Before the meeting, Steve resolved a minor glitch in
the code. Thanks, Steve!
- TV ministry: Gary offered a few suggestions on how we could feature
our opaque logo and Web site address on the bottom of the TV screen during
the broadcast of the 8 a.m. worship service. He will do more research and
update us.
- Communication Task Force joined the meeting to address
communication issues and the current protocol of internal and external
information dissemination.
