• Mary Feller introduced/discussed: American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
1. Theme: Celebrate Life
2. Teams of people take turns walking/running around a track/path
3. Relays are overnight, Aug. 7-8, 2009, Little Chute High School
4. Sign-up will begin in April
5. Looking for a team captain to organize 1 or more teams from FELC
6. Information will be shared through newsletters, etc., and sign-up tables in the Gathering Area.

• Rich Erickson: Sole Burner Walk Run
1. Goal to raise money for the American Cancer Society
2. Race date: May 9, 2009
3. Registration completion date April 3, 2009
4. Donations accepted.

• Rich Erickson: Housing Partnership
1. Purpose: set up housing for low-income families
2. Renovation of existing property; focus is repair and maintenance
3. Looking for ways to encourage congregation members’ involvement
4. Goal to have an FELC Saturday work day.

• Pastor Mary, Rich Erickson: Rebuild Together Fox Cities
1. Purpose to assist people with various disabilities, ie. build ramps, walk-in tubs, etc.
2. An 8-hour work day set for May 2, 2009. Five people have signed up.

• Ann Erickson, Kris Smith: Addiction Intervention Team
1. Alcohol, other drugs or gambling addiction intervention
2. A team of caring people working together to combat alcohol, other drugs or gambling abuse.
3. Formed as a partnership between local congregations and Lutheran Social Services
4. Meet with families four times before meeting with the addicted person
5. No charge to the family
6. Future discussion and possibilities: offer support group at FELC and supply education material to confirmation students. Long-range possibilities: Christian 12-step program based at FELC.

• Mike Lokensgard, Pastor Bauer: Rental of Parsonage

1. Housing Authority is the contact

2. Council approved renting the parsonage on Ida Street

3. Section 8 voucher program

4. A point person will be needed for maintenance

5. Mike and Judy will interview/welcome the family.

• Old business:

1. Fox Valley Warming Shelter: Discussed ways to improve our preparation for hosting the FVWS next year.
2. Habitat for Humanity:
