Important items of information:

Communications update: Online registration is available for our summer family and youth ministries. This was accomplished with technical assistance from Steve Hale. Web site traffic: In May, we averaged 207 hits/day, with the most popular pages being: pastors, staff, sermons, devos, mission, council, newsletter and announcements.

Advertising: The team decided to advertise in the Yellow Pages companion book and renew our ad in the Fox Cities’ City Guide.

FELC Connection Center: Rich presented the refined design of the Welcome Center and the team discussed design options, including scaling back the magazine racks on either side. The team was impressed and thrilled with the preliminary design. Examples of health brochures that might be displayed in conjunction with the Connection Center were submitted for review.

Time & Talent forms: The team reviewed and OK’d the current form as is.

Hospitality materials: The team reviewed promotional materials relating to hospitality, such as a 3 CD set: “The Assimilation Seminar” for $67 that covers how to follow-up with first- and second-time guests and how to help new people become fully committed disciples and a “Practicing Hospitality” video by Lutheran Hour Ministries. Bob will purchase both. The team addressed the importance of training for volunteer Connection Center hosts. While the role is viewed as separate from the greeters’ role, it would dovetail. The team was asked to consider qualities they would like to see in a Connection Center host and bring them to the next meeting.
