Important items of information:

Co-chairwomen: Deni and Emilie were introduced as new co-chairwomen of the ministry team.

Funeral ushers: Pastor Dismer reported that he followed up with Don Burmeister and Leroy Ziesemer in regards to being funeral ushers (official title TBD). The team discussed role of funeral ushers: These people would get a group together that would be interested in participating in the group. This role would be piloted at the Downtown Site then rolled out at the North Site.

Worksheet: Filled out the new planning worksheet. To do: Recruit, train and bring current volunteers together for a meeting to be scheduled no later than Jan. 31.

2009 picnic planning: Jean to complete high-level planning worksheet. A chairwoman/chairman is needed. Possible candidates will be called by Congregational Life Ministry Team. Jean will review Time & Talent forms for candidates. Elizabeth suggested that each ministry team be responsible for different aspects of the picnic. The team is leaning toward May 31 as the date.

5th Sunday meals: to be held March, May and August. Deni to follow up with Ellen Evenson to chair the events.

Lenten meals: Begin March 4, twice at the Downtown Site and three times at the North Site. Hosts are set for all 5 meals.

Tables of Eight: Jean to follow up with Sarah Miles next week. Bulletin insert promoting this activity will run on Sunday, Jan. 18. A table will be set up to promote event in Gathering Areas.

New Beginnings: No Congregational Life task; informational only.
