Items that may require Council action: Propose the creation of an annual wedding task force to be lead by Congregational Life every August to discuss the weddings in the church.

Items that may require budget/finance coordination: See attached for full breakdown of remaining budget for CL in 2009. We suggest that weddings be removed from any ministry team budget and become a separate line item in the FELC budget.

Important items of information:

• Budget: Discussion of our current budget situation. Because of the large expense of weddings, CL will end up over budget by only carrying out the minimum amount of fellowship activities. John Zweig reviewed the credit and debit sheets and we further discussed our concern regarding the allocations of funds for weddings and the rest of the CL budget.
• Review of Jan’s job responsibilities as they pertain to CL:

All online reporting; newsletter creation; proofing; updates forms, i.e. Time & Talent; tracks official acts (weddings, funerals, baptisms).

• Picnic update: On track, meetings on-going.
• Discussion of response to newsletter call for fellowship activities:

Bulletin Connection Card starting at the North Site

Discussed suggested Congregation wide worship at PAC or Timber Rattlers’

stadium. CL will support the fellowship aspect of this, but Worship MT would

need to be a supporter. No funds in the budget for 2009, but can be a

• Timber Rattlers Fellowship activity update: Dong sent out an e-mail to poll interest in a game. Those attending would pre-buy their tickets. A date to be decided given there is enough interest.

Goal review:

• Next meeting, plan to have decision on moving forward with Stephens’ Ministry

before the end of the year.

• Review Spiritual Gifts Inventory
• Need to firm up a description on the role of baptism coordinators.
