All of what we have is to be used in God-pleasing ways.

·        “Financial Stewardship + Faithful Living = Faithful Stewards, which entails at least four things:

o        we ACQUIRE our money in God-pleasing ways

o        we REGARD our money in God-pleasing ways

o        we MANAGE our money in God-pleasing ways

o        we SPEND our money in God-pleasing ways”          Pages 80-81

Continue reading, “Giving to God,” Pages 107-128 for our Aug. 4 meeting.

*      Leaders dinner will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, at Riverview. Our guest speaker is Pastor Jim Wiebel from Faith Lutheran.

*      Discussion on:

o        Offering multiple giving options.

o        Current commitment information letter sent to Simply Giving participants before Commitment Sunday

o        Questions and concerns about: 3-year profile on FELC giving, outcome from specific approaches, percent meeting their pledges, new members and those leaving FELC, Time & Talent/Volunteers comparative contributions

** Steve will contact Walt and get some statistics and reports before to the August meeting.

*      Discussion on credit card contribution and payments: There is a 2.5 percent fee charged to the church for each credit card transaction. Example: From a $100 credit card contribution, there is a $2.75 fee charged to the church, making the contribution to the church $97.25. Cyndi asked to have this reviewed, since she was under the impression that no fees would be charged.
