A Look at the Week Ahead by Summer Intern Morgan Haefner
July 14, 2014

Hello all and happy Monday! After discussing the week ahead at our Monday morning meeting, it’s safe to say the interns are in for a busy week. I believe we can handle it, though. At least with a little faith and coffee.

Here are some highlights from the week ahead to keep in mind as you begin to pencil in your schedule:

Art Week begins today at 9 a.m. and continues throughout the week. Personally, I can't wait to volunteer and help art intern Hannah S. inspire creativity. You can bet paint will be smeared, clay formed and hands dirtied beyond recognition. Please visit felc.com for more information or contact Hannah S. at hseefeldt@felc.com because she's more artsy than me.

Another exciting event on the calendar this Thursday, the 17th, is the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) benefit concert at Harmony Café, 6 p.m. All the interns are pumped about this event and look forward to seeing many members of the congregation and community in the crowd. Aside from musical performances, a few interns (including myself) will be preforming spoken word. To many of us, this organization and its awareness is close to our hearts and personal experiences, and thus could not be a better outreach project for this summer.

As always, the interns look forward to seeing you at Wednesday Night Worship and all of our other scheduled events throughout the week.

Bless you and your families as you begin the week. Remember to smile, because it's a great day to be alive.
